Jefferson County Health Department serves as Jefferson County's recycling coordinator. The purpose and intent of this program is to reduce the amount of waste being generated by the residents and businesses of Jefferson County by implementing, coordinating, expediting and monitoring, recycling activities in Jefferson County. The program coordinator concentrated on the education of the public as to the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling.
